OddsOnFPL – Gameweek 11 Review #FPL

This week involved more unfortunate events than a Lemony Snicket book. Dele Alli failing to play due to Injury. David Luiz not in the squad. Hemed making a cameo appearance. The points expectancy this week was 53 and we got a truly terrible 35. Our overall ranking went from 413508K to 632819K

Rob Elliot – 3 points

I’m not going to lie, I fell asleep at halftime watching this game. It was a decent game Elliot made some great saves. I awoke to the celebrations of Bournemouth fans on TV. Needless to say I wasn’t a happy camper.

David Luiz/ Nacho Monreal – 0 Points

Not even in the squad this week meant that Monreal came in for Luiz. Monreal should have stayed at home. He was terrible. Gave away the penalty and struggled to mark Sterling all game. A big fat 0

Nicolas Otamendi –  1 Point

A yellow card and a goal conceded sees Otamendi pick up just 1 point. This yellow card now means he’s suspended for Gameweek 12… Fantastic news…

Stephen Ward – 6 Points

The only positive of our defenders this week was the reliable Wardy. Sean Dyche has been doing a great job with Burnley at the minute and with their fixtures coming up a Burnley defender looks nice to have.

Wilfried Zaha – 2 Points

The agony of seeing him take it around the goalkeeper and then absolutely scuffing the shot was heartbreaking. Zaha has looked good since his return but this week was just a blank.

Dele Alli(C)/ Ruben Loftus-Cheek – 2 Points

Dele Allis injury means RLC came off the bench. Having 2 Crystal Palace players against an inform Spurs team wasn’t ideal.  A blank for RLC albeit no surprise this week.

Eden Hazard – 3 Points

It was always going to be a tight game when it’s Mourinho against a big side. This week Hazard failed to provide a goal or an assist. A great game to watch as a neutral, but as a Hazard owner it hurt.

Raheem Sterling – 5 Points

A miss from 3 yards out was painful to see. Raheem played like his Liverpool days when he just wasn’t very good. Multiple chances and could have hit double digits this week. On the bright side he did win the penalty and get an assist.

Tomer Hemed – 1 Point

An 11-minute cameo for Hemed this week. Glenn Murray has been in sensational form recently which could limit Hemeds play time in the future.

Roberto Firmino – 2 Points

Four goals in the Liverpool game and Bobby failed to deliver ANYTHING. He had some great chances and just failed miserably to deliver from an FPL perspective.

Gabriel Jesus(VC) – 10 Points

One of the few decent things that happened to us this week was Jesus scoring after coming off the bench. It didn’t take him long to find the net either, and if not for an unbelievable save by Cech, it could have been two.
