A monstrous week last week for with our wildcard with the majority of our team delivering the goods. This week with Man City taking on Chelsea and Lukaku being so likely to score we transferred out Aguero and brought the Big Man in. Alexis has the highest expected points so he’s our captain this week.
Edit: With Aguero’s injury, it made it even easier for us to make this decision. Injuries like this show why you should ALWAYS be careful with your transfers, and wait; unless a price change is going to inhibit your transfer activity.
Jordan Pickford – 3.88 exp. points
Only keeping one clean sheet so far this season and conceding two goals against a team that nobody knows anybodys name it doesn’t look bright for a clean sheet against Burnley, with an expectancy of 3.88 we hope he can make a few saves
Eric Bailly – 5.16 exp. points
Taking on the worst attack in the league we’ll be expecting another clean sheet from the rock that is Eric Bailly.
Nacho Monreal – 4.78 exp. points
A clean sheet last week and some bonus points due to a great goal-line clearance. Rested midweek in the Europa league should see Arsenal have no problems against newly promoted side Brighton.
Nicolas Otamendi – 3.59 exp. points
The Argentinian makes the XI after a strong start to the season, City could line up with 5 at the back against Chelsea and could surprise a few with a clean sheet, or even a goal. If the Argentinian does concede it will be most likely to our attacker Morata, so, swings and roundabouts.
Stephen Ward – 3.18 exp. points
Burnley have got some good results away from home so far this season. If they continue in the vein of form, they will likely beat their points tally away compared to last year. An Everton side struggling to score many goals could see Stephen Ward with back to back clean sheets, and perhaps even another wonder goal.
Dele Alli – 5.51 exp. points
Assisted two goals last week in the early kick-off and with Eriksen a slight doubt due to illness, we’re hoping Dele can hold down the fort and deliver more points.
Andy King – 3.17 exp. points
Our cheapest midfielder and it’s no surprise to see he has the lowest points expectancy. A nailed on start for Leicester against a poor Bournemouth side so hopefully, he can pick up some extra points
Alexis Sanchez (C) – 6.66 exp. points
PLEASE JUST SCORE. An assist last week for Alexis and despite failing to score so far this season the bookies still favour him to deliver the points. The most likely points scorer this week makes him our captain. I repeat, PLEASE JUST SCORE.
Gylfi Sigurdsson – 4.82 exp. points
Sigurdsson still looks to be lacking match fitness. The good side of things that Wayne Rooney seems to know that Gylfi is a better free kick taker so he’ll likely be on all set pieces going forward.
Romelu Lukaku (VC) – 6.14 exp. points
Transferred in instead of Aguero. The most likely player to score this week and unless you’ve been boozing since last weekend, that should be a surprise to nobody.
Alexandre Lacazette – 5.54 exp. points
Two goals last week and looks to be on Penalties rested midweek in Europa league so should be fully fresh against Brighton to add to his current tally.
Rob Elliot – 2.70 exp. points
Chancel Mbemba – 3.09 exp. points
Ruben Loftus-Cheek – 2.74 exp. points (injured)
Tomer Hemed – Suspended.
In Conclusion: Our total points expectancy is 59 this week so we’re expecting a good week. An Arsenal win and clean sheet will be a big factor in that happening, and if Sanchez explodes like he is very capable of, we could go even higher than 59. Good luck and we wish you the best of weeks!
