The weekly XI is a pick of the best players on a week per week basis, it takes into account clean sheet likelihoods, goalscoring chances and expected points. The team is essential for those who are thinking of wildcarding.
Last week was a good week getting a 74! Not as high as we would have hoped but still better than average and hopefully enough for you to win your weekly league!
This week we’ve opted for
Davies – Bailly – Martina – Kolasinac
Salah – Ramsey – Choupo Moting
Lukaku – Kane(C) – Lacazette
Bench: Joel Pereira, King, Atsu, Hunemeier
Reasons for picks:
Foster – A 42.09% chance of keeping a clean sheet and a cheap goalkeeper with the possibility of a save point
Davies/Bailly/Martina/Kolasinac – Ben Davies is the cheapest way into the Spurs defence and also looks like he could get an assist/goal at any time with his good attacking threat. Eric Bailly probably the most nailed on CB at Manchester United at the moment and has looked very good all season.Koeman has started that Jagielka and Keane are both doubtful for Sunday so with Cuco Martina likely to start, at 4.3M he’s a nice option this week. Sead Kolasinac has a 53.88% chance to keep a clean sheet and also a 13.86% chance to score he could end up having a great game week.
Salah/Ramsey/Choupo-Moting – Despite Salah loving to miss alot of opportunities he’s still getting points in FPL and could be a season keeper at a cheaper option than Mane. An assist last week for Aaron Ramsey and the only reoccurring starting midfielder from last week lets hope this week he can win another Penalty at the minimum. Choupo-Moting playing OOP at Stoke and could be a very promising aspect.
Lukaku/Kane/Lacazette – Romelu Lukaku and Harry Kane are both the must-haves this week as Romelu is up against Crystal Palace and Harry Kane takes on Huddersfield away. We’ve opted for Harry Kane as captain due to Lukaku having less of a resting period between Champions League and the Premier League fixture this week. Alexandre Lacazette scored twice last week and takes on Brighton. It was a close call between him and Morata but Brighton are far more likely to concede!
